not finish should complete the assignment at home.
AP Psychology Chapter 4 Questions, pages 129 – 158.
Directions: Answer these questions on a separate sheet of paper. Use your notes, textbook, or Barron’s
to answer the questions. The assignment is due on Wednesday. If the assignment is not completed in
class, it must be completed at home. The original assignment due for Wednesday will be due on
Thursday.

2. Describe the parts and processes that make up the visual system.
3. Describe the Trichromatic and Opponent – Process Theories concerning color.
Questions 4 – 8 concern The Visual System: Perceptual Processes, pages 147 – 158 from the textbook.
4. Discuss the aspects of perception concerning these concepts: Reversible Figure, Perceptual Set,
Inattentional Blindness
5. Explain Feature analysis and distinguish between Bottom – Up and Top – Down processing.
6. Gestalt Psychology emerged out of Germany in the early part of the 20th Century. Gestalt Psychology
demonstrated that the whole can be greater than the sum of the parts. Identify and describe each of
the Gestalt principles concerning perception (there are 7 )
7. Describe the Binocular and Monocular cues.
8. Identify and discuss the types of Pictoral Depth.
9. Describe Visual Illusion and provide an example.
