financial aid/scholarships limited to entering freshmen






High School CCP Meeting
Notify your school district before April 1, 2015
Submit application to the university no later than May 15th
You will be notified of admission to the university
Take COMPASS Placement Exam







Mandatory in the absence of ACT/SAT
Final admissions decision
Meet With High School Guidance Counselor to decide How CCP fits into
high school graduation requirements. This step is VERY important.
Meet with KSU CCP advisor to discuss course options
Approval of courses by Guidance Counselor/Parent or Guardian before
the end of the school year

College Credit Plus Admission
Requirements and Pathways
 Complete Hiram College’s College Credit Plus application
which can be found online.
 Submit an official high school transcript.
 Submit results from either the ACT or SAT. Hiram will also
accept the PLAN or PSAT scores.
 Submit a recommendation from a high school guidance
counselor or teacher supporting student for College Credit Plus
enrollment.
 Meet college course pre-requisites.
Application and credential review is holistic and there is no single
set of fixed criteria that solely determines admissibility to Hiram
College. Each admission application and its supporting
credentials are carefully read and given individual consideration.
Hiram College reserves the right to make the final determination
of a student’s admissibility to the College.
High school students may enroll at Hiram College in single courses, or enroll as a part-time student
(15 credit hours per year), or as a full-time student (30 credit hours per year). Students must work
with high school guidance departments regarding fulfillment of dual-credit requirements necessary
for high school graduation in the State of Ohio.

Each College Credit Plus student will be assigned a Hiram
College advisor. Hiram will assist students in scheduling an
individual appointment with their advisor.
Course placement will be determined based upon need for
dual-credit, high school record, recommendation of a high
school guidance counselors, ACT/SAT, and course availability.
In some cases, placement testing may be required (e.g.
Mathematics and/or Foreign Languages.
