S2 Exams – 1. Assessed Folio with one creative / personal and one discursive / persuasive
2. Poetry Textual Analysis – Small section of a poem to analyse (one we have studied) with a
question linking that poem with the rest of the writer’s work.
3. Critical Essay – 45 minutes on own choice of novel that we have studied. (Teach them to look at
openings and central characters and offer them a choice of either in the exam on any novel they
have read).
4. Close Reading Paper
5. Talk and Listening Grade.
