A-VIEW is built by Amrita E-Learning Research Lab, a division of Amrita University.
Research & Development
We have invested time and resources at R&D since 2004 in multimedia and video
conferencing in association with International Universities like SUNY Buffalo, New
York and Indian Institutes like ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) and
TIFAC (Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council).

Since 2009, we are majorly supported by NME-ICT (National Mission on Education
through ICT), Ministry of Human Resources Development and partnered with IIT
Bombay under the ‘Talk to a Teacher’ program.

A-VIEW was formally launched by former President Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam
on August 12, 2009
installations
A-VIEW is currently deployed at more than 350 universities and 600 colleges
all over India. It is expected to be installed at most universities and colleges
by end of next year

A-VIEW is provided free to all educational institutions
major achievements
Several universities conduct regular distance education classes to all their affiliated
colleges using A-VIEW. For example, classes from Mumbai University are being
transmitted to several colleges in Maharashtra.

IIT Bombay used A-VIEW to organise a two week workshop in July 2012 to train
10,000 teachers online. This was probably the first online workshop in the world
where 10,000 college teachers were simultaneously trained using ICT tools.

Shri. Sam Pitroda, Advisor to the Prime Minister of India on Public Information,
Infrastructure and Innovation, addressed three thousand Amrita students at
multiple locations in India from his office in New Delhi.

Prof. Deepak Phatak, IIT Bombay, conducted National Teacher Empowerment
Program using A-VIEW to train over 1000 college teachers across India in
December 2009.

since August 2011.

class of hundred students using a multiple widescreen television displays.

We have recently released A-VIEW 3.0 – the latest version of A-VIEW.
This version comes packed with various unique knowledge sharing
modules, higher performance, better reliability, greater usability and
features to handle large classes easily.
