SUBJECT
The subject of a sentence is the noun, pronoun or noun phrase that precedes and governs the main verb.
The subject is the part of the sentence that performs an action or which is associated with the action.
My dog is the subject, controlling the verb, it performs the action of attacking .
OBJECT
The object of a sentence can be a noun, a pronoun, a noun phrase. It is the person or thing affected by the action described in the verb, the recipient of the action of the verb.
The burglar attacked is the object, by my dog .
Object Questions:
ask about the object of a sentence. The word order of the question must be changed and the question requires the use of the auxiliary verb

Jerry likes oranges.
What does Jerry like?

Subject Questions:
When what, which, who or whose refers to the subject, the question word comes before the verb without any other changes in the word order

Subject Questions:
who and what most often take singular verbs, even if the question expects a plural answer
‘Who is working tomorrow?’ ‘Pete and Lucy are.’
‘What lives in those little holes?’ ‘Rabits do.’
‘Who was at the party?’ ‘Most people from our class were.’
Object questions:
who and what can have either singular or plural verb, depending on the subject
‘Who does John work with?’ ‘He works with Jim.’
‘Who are your closest friends?’ ‘My closest friends are Naomi and Bridget.
