General Information:
1) Out-of-Class papers must be typed and double-spaced, using 12-point font in Times New
Roman.
2) All out-of-class papers (except senior memory books) will be submitted to turnitin.com
in order to receive a grade. No exceptions. Set up your profile and submit each paper by
the due date. You will still print a copy to turn in for me to grade.
3) You will not be able to print on my printer. You need to problem-solve so that you come
to class with a printed paper on the due date.
4) Dates on the calendar are due dates. If you lose your calendar, borrow one to copy or go
to Coogle – Courses – English – Eng IV AP- L. Warren – Resources.
Perrine Assignments: Read the assigned pages and answer the story questions. Your
answers must be handwritten.
Perrine Short Stories:
1) Read the Background Info: pages 100-102. (Take notes as needed).
2) Chapter 2 - Read pages 103-110 and “The Destructors,” pages 111-124. Answer
questions 1, 4, and 6. Write two different theme statements for the story.
3) Chapter 3 – Read pages 161-165 and “Miss Brill,” pages 174-178. Answer questions 1, 6,
and 7. Write two different theme statements for the story.
4) Chapter 4 – Read pages 191-197 and “Once upon a Time,” pages 231-236. Answer
Questions 1, 3, and 4. Write two different theme statements for the story.
5) Chapter 5 – Read pages 237-243 and “Hills like White Elephants,” pages 278-282.
Answer questions 1, 2, and 6. Write two different theme statements for the story.
