ACTIIITHEATREENSEMBLE.COM / INFO@ACTIIITHEATREENSEMBLE.COM Dear Interested Business, My name is Emily Zetterberg, and I am the Artistic & Managing Director of Act III Theatre Ensemble at the University of California Los Angles. Act III is dedicated to providing opportunities for creative expression and exposure for the UCLA student body through professional-level, quality student-run theatre. This mission is especially important at UCLA, due to the limited opportunities for theatrical involvement on campus. The UCLA Department of Theatre produces one musical each year, with participation restricted to theatre students only. Act III stands out amongst other campus theatre organizations in its professionalism and its policy encouraging students of any major to participate—at no cost. For the past four years, Act III has continued to maintain its recognition as the premiere student theatre organization at UCLA. Since the company’s start in 2008, we have produced The Wild Party, The Freshman Showcase, See What I Wanna See, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, Sweet Charity, Pinter in Winter, I Love You, Because, The Servant of Two Masters, Xanadu, Little Shop of Horrors, [title of show], The Last Five years, Assassins, Complete History of America (Abridged), Next to Normal, 35 MM: A Musical Exhibition and various master classes and musical cabarets. We also produce two fundraising events each year: Bruins Care, a musical revue supporting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and 24 Hour Musical, a fully-staged musical mounted in 24 Hours to benefit No Limits, an organization that provides theatre programs to deaf and hard of hearing children. ACTIIITHEATREENSEMBLE.COM / INFO@ACTIIITHEATREENSEMBLE.COM Act III has grown significantly over the past four years, as has the number of active members and audiences. In the first year, our website, now actiiitheatreensemble.com, received close to 4,000 views. Now, we are up to an average of 300 per week, averaging 15,600 views per calendar year. Our email list, which contains both patrons and members of Act III, has over 700 members, along with our Facebook group and page, which reach roughly 400 members of the UCLA student body. Our primary advertising demographic is 70% college students (18 – 23), and 30% parents/faculty (45 – 55). We are currently seeking sponsorship for the 2015/2016 season. Additionally, twice per quarter we present the Friday Night Cabaret Series, which features various performances at an intimate concert venue at UCLA. At UCLA, only through registered student organizations can outside businesses advertise on-campus. By sponsoring Act III Theatre Ensemble, you can directly reach the student body while also allowing Act III to continue to provide opportunities for practical education and artistic expression through outstanding theatre productions available to the UCLA student community.
