Vehicle Identification Study Ingress/egress to a parking area For private audience and use only October 2015 Summary An organization is looking to add video surveillance in order to capture license plates and vehicle descriptions at the ingress/egress points to their parking lot. This organization will use two SOLVEIL cameras with solar power and wireless transmission sending video to one HUB located in a nearby building, where power is available. One camera will monitor an entrance lane and the other will monitor an exit lane. IR illumination will be added to both cameras as sufficient lightning is not available during night time hours. This is also part of a contingency plan, in case power is cut to the existing light poles. Distance to target for camera 1 is roughly 50ft. (15.24 meters) Distance to target for camera 2 is roughly 120ft. (36.6 meters). The width of the field of view for both cameras is roughly 16ft. (4.9 meters) Camera 1 is mounted 21.5ft (6.6 meters) from the ground and camera 2 is mounted 20ft (6.0 meters) from the ground. The MicroPower certified systems integrator will supply all necessary installation labor to attach the solar panel, antenna and camera to existing light poles, and install the hub antenna and hub (POE+), which will be connected to the existing network, and VMS. The SOLVEIL system has HD video quality and sends video wirelessly on a proprietary 2.4GHZ format. The receiver HUB will need be located in a security and environmentally friendly location. Standard video utilizing H.264 would be sent from the SOLVEIL receiving HUB to the Video Management System via a local network connection. Having the ability to be located without the need of power or network conductivity, the SOLVEIL cameras can be located at convenient and optimum locations for the desired video coverage. This advantage is key in designing an accurate security surveillance system. The HUB location shows noise present on channels 1 and 11. Site Information: RF Scan from Camera 1 location Camera 1 location shows that significant noise is present on channel 11. Site Information: RF Scan from Camera 2 location The RF Scan from Camera 2 location shows minimal noise on channels 1, 6, and 11.
