Call for Proposals Wright State University’s Division of Multicultural Affairs &Community Engagement Inclusion Infusion Grants 2016 Multicultural Affairs & Community Engagement is pleased to provide support to members of the campus community in their efforts to incorporate a multicultural perspective into their work at Wright State University through the Inclusion Infusion grant program. There are five areas of emphasis for the grants. Two of these are offered in collaboration with the Center for Teaching and Learning. All Wright State University faculty (full and part-time), students (undergraduate and graduate) and staff are eligible to apply for funding. Interested individuals must complete the appropriate application form and a budget request summary sheet. These documents are attached. The application forms contain additional information about each grant opportunity and correspond to the following funding categories. Applicants can request up to $2,000.00. Multicultural Course Assessment: funding in this category supports designing a research project to evaluate teaching and learning in a multicultural course. It also funds an undergraduate research assistant to help with this work. This grant is a collaboration with the Center for Teaching and Learning. It also requires assessment of diversity related outcomes. Application Integrating Diversity in a Program or Activity Category Budget worksheet Increasing Underrepresented Students’ Participation in High Impact Educational Activities: funding in this category supports implementation of strategies to increase the participation of students of color, first generation, low income and other students historically underrepresented in the types of activities that promote meaningful engagement in order to enhance learning and retention such as undergraduate research, service learning, study away, participation in learning communities, etc. Application Increasing Underrepresented Students Budget worksheet Diversifying the Faculty and Staff: funding in this category is available to departments and offices to assist in forming relationships with institutions graduating ( or affiliated with) people from groups underrepresented in their discipline or field in order to help create a diverse pipeline of potential employees interested in working at Wright State.
