Course Name
Telecommunications Management Network (TMN) Fundamentals
Level 1
Course Number
LS 120 101
Course Duration
2 days
Course Description
This course provides an overview of Telecommunications
Management Network (TMN) standards including principles,
architectures, information modeling techniques, protocols,
management services, and functions. Describes OSI systems
management concepts and CORBA, the relationship between the
two, since they are the foundations for TMN implementation.
This course provides a summary of TMN implementation issues
including
TMN/TMF/NGOSS/TOM/eTOM/ANSI/ETSI/3GPP/T1M1/ECIC/OBF/
Telcordia, applicability of NMS/OSS platforms and productivity
tools, and outlook to the future of TMN including influences from
other emerging concepts such as COBRA, Java, XML, and TINA-C.
