What skills are being performed? Create the same table that you created for the video task in the last lesson. Agility Agility is the ability to change direction quickly and under control. Co-ordination Co-ordination is the ability to combine at the same time, movements of two or more body parts. For example – running to hit a tennis ball. Balance The ability to control the body's position, either stationary (eg, a handstand) or while moving (eg, kicking a football whilst on the move) Power • Power is the combination of strength and speed. • An explosive, powerful movement is achieved quickly with as much strength as possible. Reaction Time Reaction time is the time it takes you to respond to an outside stimulus. For example – a sprinter reacting to the starter’s gun. Answering the Question Make sure you name the component AND give a specific example of it being used in the video. For example; Ronaldo uses agility when he is doing the zig zag sprint as he has to change direction very quickly as he would during a game of football. What’s the Question? Pick three words from the next slide. They are answers to questions. Your job is to create a question to go with it. For example; Answer = Agility Your question could be; “Which component of fitness is the ability to change direction quickly and under control?” The question should NOT be “What rhymes with ability?” This task is a little harder than it seems!
