Description
We help build dynamic programs - guaranteed cost through alternative risk - designed to manage the cost
of risk. We have the ability to customize an insurance program to support specific objectives. We have 12
office locations throughout North America, Bermuda and the Caribbean.
Position Summary
Our company, is rapidly expanding and needs a dynamic leader who can manage a team of accountants,
and who has excellent communication skills. We are in a growing field of “alternative risk management”
and need talent to join our team.
Our office is located in Mesa, Arizona, convenient to the North 202 loop.
The Accounting and Financial Manager is responsible for managing a team of accountants (who function
as client relationship managers), providing direction, setting goals and ensuring that overall department
objectives are attained. This position involves heavy client interaction and communication, both written
and verbal.
Essential Responsibilities
· With other senior staff, develops and implements policies and procedures
· Anticipates and provides solutions to complex finance and accounting problems
· Manages variety of ongoing accounting functions which may include day-to-day activities as well as
more specialized accounting activities
· Accounting for multiple entities
· Coordinating external audits and actuarial studies
· Coordinating accounting services and integrating with operational needs
· Working with regulators to ensure compliance
· Maintain client relationships
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree
· 5 years of Professional Accounting experience. Public Accounting Preferred.
· Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Desired:
· Property and casualty insurance experience is helpful but not required. You bring your accounting,
leadership and communication skills, and we can provide the other necessary skills to be successful in
this growing business.
Work Traits:
· Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both with employees and clients
· Familiarity with one or more basic accounting software packages.
· Skilled at managing a team of people
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
