The Goose Girl – Shannon Hale - Fantasy – Another retelling of a fairy tale, this one about a princess
who, because of her strange gifts, is sent away to marry a stranger in a foreign land. Along the way, she
encounters terrible treachery and is forced to hide her identity and become a “goose girl” in order to
stay alive. OBOB (warning, very troubling and disturbing horse death, so not recommended for intense
horse lovers. However, I do love this book!)
