Attendance was quite normal although this year saw no election, as it was an off year. The meeting had started with an annual report from Patrick Ko, our President. Summarizing the activities for the year to date the planned activities had been quite robustly attended; for instance, our annual summer BBQ had attracted about 30 members and partners, the Chinese New Year party saw participants filling six tables, while the annual ball gathered almost ten tables of OB’s and their ‘partners’. Our special guest, Felix Leung, visiting from Toronto had also joined us at the AGM dinner. Fellow brothers from Vancouver were happy to be able to convey our in-person congratulations to Felix as he is to get married in Vancouver in May. Congratulations again Felix! One of the major issues discussed during the AGM had to do with the forthcoming Global Reunion in San Francisco, and more importantly, hosting the next one in 2012. After a rather heated debate on various anticipated challenges expected to be faced by the host chapter especially on the uncertainty on forecasting the number of people attending the Reunion, the majority voted in favour of assuming the responsibility for hosting the 2012 Global Reunion. As Vancouver Chapter is now committed to officially take up the baton on the next leg of the Global Reunion marathon, we like to officially invite members from the La Salle Community to join us in July 2012 to relive the La Salle spirit and explore the beautiful City of Vancouver. Calvin Chan (1971) will be the acting treasurer until a new treasurer is appointed. We wish to thank Davis for his enthusiastic and valuable input while serving the Chapter as a director. We wish him well and look forward to his return in near future. Toronto Chapter Annual La Salle Day Dinner Kevin Kwok (1988) The Toronto Chapter Annual General Meeting was held on 15 May 2010 at Ka Lung Court (嘉 麟 閣). It was one of those feel good kind of day everyone needs once in a while. We were honoured with the presence of guests from New York Chapter. Indeed, it was a weather‐perfect day for our New York Chapter brothers to drive 8+ hours all the way from New York to attend our Toronto Chapter La Salle Day dinner. As usual, many new friendships were started and old ones renewed. After our president Jimmy Chang (66) led us through our school song, he welcome all the guests, and presented the financial report and annual review, introduced our current board of directors (2009‐2011). In brief, 2009‐2010 was a year full of activities, gatherings, reunions and fun filled events. Basically, we didn't have any scheduled program for our annual dinner, but it allowed all of us to have a good time and a great meal. One attending old boy definitely worth mentioning was Andy Mak (66), former OBA director, who has been battling critical illness for several years; this was his first appearance at an OBA function in many years. Andy, thank you for your dedication and competent work during your term, and your continued courage is a true inspiration to us. From the possible location of the camera, it can be concluded that it was wide open in front of the school building on the other side of Boundary Street.
