Date:21/06/15
Duration: 1 x 45 min
OBJECTIVES :- At the end of the lesson students will be able to


Define the term electromagnetic waves.
Identify the components of electromagnetic waves.
TEACHING PROCEDURES(5min)
Set Induction: Revise the topic waves by asking oral questions,



State the term waves?
State the classifications of waves?
State the difference between mechanical waves and electromagnetic waves?
Main Activity:
 Teacher asks the students to form five groups.
 Teacher asks the students to give some examples of electromagnetic waves.
 Teacher explains all the electromagnetic waves with aid of examples.
Radio waves
Microwaves.
Infrared.
Visible light.
Ultraviolet
x-rays
Gamma rays
Extension works for most able: ask the students to do text book problems.
Approach for less able: ask the students to do text book problems and teacher helps and
motivates the students.
CLOSURE / REVIEW (5min)
