The entry grade for each subject is at least a B grade at GCSE, with the exception of Mathematics and any of the Sciences, which require at least an A
grade. To study any of the subjects above you must attain at least 5 A*-C grades, including English Language and Mathematics.
It is possible to study some new subjects at A Level that you may not have encountered at GCSE; their entry requirements are given below:
Classics – at least a B grade in English Language and Literature and at least a B grade in History, if studied at GCSE.
Psychology - at least a B grade in English Language, Mathematics and Additional Science (or Biology if studying separate Sciences).
Business Studies - at least a B grade in English Language and Mathematics.
Geography - at least a B grade in English Language and Mathematics.
History - at least a B grade in English Language and Literature.
It is not permitted for a student to study any more than 2 new subjects.
Further Maths will be arranged to suit the timetables of the students concerned .
Subjects for which take up is insufficient to make a viable group may be removed from the curriculum.
