The Nation’s administrative structure consists of the following main departments: Economic Development Lands and Resources Health Community Infrastructure and Housing Education Social Development and Family Preservation Administration Daycare Function of the HR professional The Nation is looking for a professional individual or firm, hereafter referred to as the proponent, to work with our management team for the Nation to address the following key issues: On call day to day HR advice and guidance Ensuring compliance with the Canada Labour Code and the Nation’s Personnel Policy If required, conflict mediation Audit of the current and future human relations programs or issues Set up and implement in-house employee relations training for management If required, employee opinion surveys 2 Snuneymuxw First Nation Human Resources RFP April 2015 Education and Qualifications CHRP designation or similar certification 5-10 years of Human Resources experience Understanding of employment law and employee relations Excellent oral, written and communication skills Analytical thinker Maintains confidentiality Conflict resolution skills Perform analysis and provide recommendations Critical thinker Excellent problem-solving skills Knowledge of business principals and procedures Human resources experience working with First Nations organizations Instructions, Terms and Conditions The following terms and conditions will apply to this RFP; 1/. 2/. 3/. 4/. 5/. 6/. 7/. 8/. 9/. 10/. 11/. 12/. 13/. Closing Time – May 14th, 2015 at 4:00 pm PST No electronic copies will be accepted One unbound copy is required to be delivered to the Nation’s Administrative office reception area or mailed to the attention of the contact, Ken Cossey Proposals received after the closing date and time will not be opened and will be returned unopened The Nation reserves the right to reject any proposal Pricing will be firm for the contract period The firm or individual must have a Work Safe account that is current and must have general and comprehensive insurance coverage. Proof of coverage must be in the submission If any sub consultants are to be used, the proponent must provide proof that the sub consultants have a current Work Safe account and have insurance in place. Proof of coverage must be in the submission The RFP must be no more than five (5) pages in length. Appendices may contain information that the proponent feels is necessary to add to the submission. This would include, but is not be limited to: resumes, references, confirmation of insurance, and work safe accounts The proponent is totally responsible for all costs associated with preparing and submitting a proposal Once the proposal has been received and accepted by the Nation, the proponent’s response will form part of any contract entered into Proposals remain valid and may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days following the date of submission Nothing in the RFP or the selection process is intended to create a binding agreement between the Nation and any proponent.
