Qu’est-ce que tu n’as pas fait ? Have class answer to one of the questions in one sentence. They may use classroom resources to help acquire the correct vocabulary. Ask various students to share. 5-10 Min Development 60 Min Review The passé composé notes in Bien Dit Textbook on p.22, this includes avoir and être. On whiteboard, review DR and MRS VANDERTRAMPP. Explain that the class will be doing a series of activities, individual and in-group, using their textbook, cahier and class set of iPads. Activities: 1) Textbook – students complete p.23 #30-32 practicing conjugating the passé composé 2) Cahier – students complete p.10 #23-24 practicing conjugating the passé composé 3) Listening – students listen to Track WB8301EA29TO5 and analyze the tense of the sentence. The present and the passé compose tense are used (found on p.3E in teacher guide) 4) Oral – with a partner, respond verbally to textbook p.33 Expérience personnelle 5) iPad apps – students will use individual iPads and reinforce the verb conjugations using one or all three apps. Apps include Verb Trainer, Conjugaison, and Conjugaison Hachette (need to buy). 6) BYOD – students will use VoiceThread or Speak and Translate to record their answers to a series of questions requiring them to use the passé composé in their response. 7) Postcard – students will use individual iPads or computers and complete a project creating a postcard and describing their summer holiday using one of these apps Postcard, PhotoCard, Snapshot Postcard. This assignment must include peer editing before handing in final copy. Closure Students put notes away, working in a group of 4, students will identify and conjugate the passé composé for 4 verbs. They choose one verb for each of the various forms: ending in –er, -ir, -re, 5 Min and a Vandertramp verb. They must include their group member’s names and hand in the activity. Adaptations Adapted learners will receive a handout on DR & MRS VANDERTRAMPP and can complete fewer questions for each assignment. Challenge activity - students can use the J’accorde app. Students should use irregular verbs in postcard and/or the imparfait. Assessment Activities 1-6 uses formative assessment with Exceeds, Fully Meets, Minimally Meets, and Not Yet Within Expectations Activities 7 uses summative assessment: Postcard – 10 marks, Passé composé conjugation – 10 marks, writing - 10
