- Over 33 years of distinguished service in Army Ordnance Corps– the material managers

parcel of the Ordnance Depots. Dealt with number of Civil labour unions and associations including
Works Committees.
Held key role in handling SECURITY of major installations like Ammunition Depots,
Central Ordnance Depots spread in area of 500 to 900 Acres.
- Handled Estate Management while posted as Brigadier Administration at Kolkata including grant
of NOCs.
- Implementation of modern management practices concerning stores, personnel, Information
technology and reporting system.
- Instructional ability in Management , HR, Administration and public relations. Also member of
Indian Institute of Management Studies.
Distinction of commanding two store holding depots managing inventory worth several
crores.
- Contributed significantly in designing and developing in-house multi user online system for
inventory management of large No of depots/ units and headquarters of Army Ordnance Corps.
Directed, steered and monitored Financial management at various stages to create a cost
effective and need based procurement system.
- Optimisation and rationalization of manpower and resources to ensure that over a lakh
troops get the right stores at the right time at the right place in right quantity and quality.

test and implement policies and procedures.

Commandant of Central Ordnace Depot (CEO) at Kanpur (Dec 2011 to Mar
2013)

Chief logistic and administrative head of the largest depot of Indian Army
handling inventory of 5000 plus worth 5000 crores in an area of 879 Acres.

Depot provided all the General Stores and clothing to the complete Army.

Headed the Modernisation of the Stores Depot worth cost of 1426 Crores
which included supervision the staff under me for construction of 13 x
Warehouses.

Strategic planning, forecasting, procurement, warehouse
distribution and disposal of inventory valued over 5000 crores.

Directed, monitored and steered human resources planning and development.

Streamlined procedures for enhanced productivity through e-tendering, e-auction
and e-procurement to align with the sourcing patterns and carried out
procurement through DGS&D rate contracts, PSUs and imports.

Carried out innovative disposal to weed out surplus / non moving inventory.

Management of cooperative society worth 15 crores.

Provide Security as well as vigilance to all the Ammunition and the Store
depots.
Responsible for provisioning, procurement, and movement of stores to the
units.
Disposal of stores and providing Material handling equpiments .
Colonel General Staff Duties in J&K (Jul 2004 to Jul 2007)




Handled HR aspects and public relations.
All Foriegn dignitories security and movement plans were made and
executed.
Move plan of the Important z Category VIPs , their security and conduct.
Foriegn dignitories of about 08 countries visited during my period and our
dignitories like The President, Governors, Mrs Sonia Gandhi and PM.
