BURHP CHECKLIST
In order to apply for the Biological Sciences Undergraduate Honors Research Program you must meet
the following requirements:
1. Minimum GPA 3.0
2. Core Course Requirement
1. Biodiversity + Lab
2. Biological Principles + Lab
3. General Chem + Lab (I & II)
4. Organic Chem (I & II +LAB)
5. Calculus
6. Noonburg Stats or Exp Design + Stats
3. At least 25 credit hours in upper division (3000&4000)
4. 1 DIS in progress (prior to applying in Summer) or completed in Sponsors lab
5. Statement of purpose
6. Sponsor Letter from potential supervisor stating support for student through DIS, Honors
Research and Honors Thesis.
(Additional letter of recommendation highly encouraged – not required)
