More info at erpsim.hec.ca © SAP 2009 / Page 18 Configuration and state files • The purpose of state files is to keep track of what’s going on in the current simulation in order to continue a game at a certain point in time (virtual quarter and day) • What is the logic behind the configuration and state files? • The configuration file represent the options that are selected at first • State files are created during the simulation • It is one of these files that you want to use to resume a simulation • Since state files are not updated (a new one is created instead), you need to use the one that point to the right Quarter and Day at which you want to resume • State files contain some data from the simulation, but will not replace the documents in SAP (in case you ask for a client refresh, the simulator will not create again the Purchase Orders, Requisitions, etc.) © Léger et al. 2009.
