Student Assistant – Office of Community-Based Learning and Research (CBLR)
The primary job function of the CBLR Student Assistant involves creating the monthly CBLR e-newsletter,

Student Liaison, Administrator, and Digital Media Assistant - School of IAS
The American and Ethnic Studies (AES) program is looking for a part-time student assistant to help
organize and coordinate a range of activities linked to the launch of the revised degree program.
Responsibilities include: planning and engaging in outreach activities to identify students who would be
interested in the AES, developing and maintaining AES’ online presence, organizing and coordinating
events, and learning how to shoot and edit digital videos, such as faculty interviews, student profiles,
and short features for circulation on the AES website and social media channels. A successful candidate
will have strong communication skills, demonstrate initiative, and will have technical skills in Canvas,
Microsoft Word, and Excel. Experience with Wordpress, Photoshop, and video editing software is a

Student Procurement Assistant – School of STEM (Discovery Hall)
Help set up UW Bothell’s newest building, Discovery Hall, by preparing and setting up two dozen labs!
The Student Procurement Assistant will receive shipments of lab equipment, distribute them, and install
materials within each laboratory. Basic knowledge of lab equipment is preferred as well as an interest in

The City of Kenmore is seeking a graduate-level student intern to work within the City Manager’s
Office. This internship provides the potential for a degree project or thesis material and is funded
through December of 2014. The Intern will report to the Management Analyst within the City Manager’s
Office with support to the Engineering & Environmental Services Department. Interns will help develop

Research Coordinator – Afya Bora Project (I-TECH)
International Training and Education Center for Health (I-TECH) is a center in the University of

Volunteer Opportunities
Social Media Intern – City of Kenmore
The Social Media Intern is a member of the City of Kenmore Communications Team and will volunteer 612 hours per week for a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 month time commitment. Basic job duty is
to assist with and coordinate social media. This position will offer a student the opportunity to
experience city government while working on a variety of topics that directly impact the community.
Candidates must have knowledge of and experience using social media platforms, concise and creative
writing skills, and public relations experience. Some graphic design and photography experience is a
