Started UTA Upward Bound Objective Steps to Success Integrating Technology into Program Objectives OBJECTIVE: Provide mentoring activities during the academic year component that will improve the participant’s self-concept, motivational level, and awareness of educational and career opportunities. Relationship to Purpose: Since many of the participants are not aware of educational and career opportunities, it is our goal to expose them to various opportunities that will not only allow the participants to see themselves in their aspiring career, but to also improve their selfconcept and motivational skills. Major Activity: Mentor program (Special Clubs) will meet once every month during the year. Volunteers from the campus community will serve as role models/mentors to groups of 5-10 participants, according to the participants’ need.
