Rendir “surrender” Game instructions Supplies: One whiteboard per group member One deck of cards (containing material to be practiced) One die (any color) and a Dora/Diego bowl for rolling the dice in An answer sheet (if available) An eraser for each group member ONLY ONE PEN PER GROUP Procedure: Put students in groups of 3 or 4. Place the group pen in the center of the table/desks. Once you have supplies decide who gets to roll first (rock paper scissors?). The first person to roll a six gets to pick up the pen and begins conjugating the verbs or writing the vocab term as quickly as they can from the first card on the deck. While that is taking place, all of the players who do not have the pen are continuing to roll and pass the die. If a player rolls a six they yell “RENDIR”. The player with the pen MUST STOP WRITING IMMEDIATELY and PASS the pen to that player. The first player to finish all of the verbs/vocab says “FINISHED”. Everyone in the group stops and the teacher will then check to see if that player has correctly written all of the verbs/vocab on the list OR you can check the answer key. Then begin the next round with a new card from the deck. The first person to roll a six starts and only stops when another player rolls a six and gains control of the pen. If there is any verb/vocab term incorrect or it is too difficult to read, then it will not count. The player who called “FINISHED” but did not have all of the answers correct… loses control of the pen and ERASES their board completely. The pen is put back in the center of the table. The last person who had the pen rolls the die. The first player to roll a six gains control of the pen. **Person with the most points at the end wins**
