supporting evidence, accuracy in spelling and sentence structure,
and use of three required works.
A two sided 8” X11” sheet with hand written quotations only, from
major works studied in class, is permitted.

Essay Instructions:
Write a formal essay in which you use ONE of the quotations
from the selection below to support your argument. You must
use Macbeth and one of The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz,
The Kite Runner, Lullabies of Little Criminals, The Colour
Purple, The Great Gatsby, The Alchemist, or Lovely Bones;
use a documentary film, short story or poem, as approved by
your instructor, for the third paragraph.
