October Revolution: Coup d'état by the Bolsheviks under Lenin. 3. New Economic Plan: An economic policy proposed by Vladimir Lenin to prevent the Russian economy from collapsing. 4. Joseph Stalin: Russian leader who succeeded Lenin as head of the Communist Party and created a totalitarian state by purging all opposition.
