Have the student’s share out what a growth mind set is, and what a fixed mindset is. Watch the growth mindset video. Then ask the students what does it take to have a growth mind set? Have them share out and write their answers on the board and they copy it in their interactive notebook. Presentation (I do) Guided Practice (We do) Talk about the importance of the quote “There is a difference between not knowing and not knowing yet.” Tell the students that there is always room to grow in knowledge with an open mind (not knowing yet). Play the short motivational video. After it talk to the students about how the main character had a growth mindset.
