Life Cycle of a Penguin
• Mother Penguins will lay one or

can be underground or made of
stones and grass.
The Father Penguin and the
Mother Penguin take turns
taking care of the egg.
The chick then pecks its way
out of the egg.
The chick will grow up and find
a mate. Penguins mate for life.

mother goes off to feed

keeps the egg warm.
