1. Brainfuse (online - http://www.brainfuse.com/login/csl.asp?a_id=FD18B5D0) – Sponsored by
Braswell Library, LIVE online one-to-one tutors provide you with the help you need, when you
need it. Here you can connect with tutors in math, reading and writing, allowing for very focused
review. You can also see tutorials, take practice quizzes, study flash cards, or even create your
own flash cards in a very broad array of subject areas. While you don’t need to log in to access
live tutors, registering and creating your own username and password will
allow you access to enhanced tools and services.


Access the Brainfuse website as directed by your instructor.

Complete the list of items or buttons in the “Expert Help” section on the left hand side.

5. FYI- You can create your own flash cards by clicking the create new link. You will

Once the account is created look for the “Create new FlashBulb” under the
FlashBulbs tab.
Register as a new user by clicking the “sign up” button located on the right hand side of
the screen. You are only asked to provide a username and password. (Suggestion, use
your college email username and password.) It is easy and allows you access to more
services.

Curriculum Pathways and WritingReviser is a free, self-help resource to assist students in five main
subject areas: English, Math, Science, Social Studies and Spanish. There are interactive tutorials
and resources for each subject. In addition, SAS Writing Reviser provides assistance with writing
assignments.

Access the SAS Curriculum Pathways website as directed by your instructor and log in with
the provided username.

Click on the “All Categories” drop down menu. Under “English Language Arts” click “Writing Skills”

Select “Punctuation Rules!” After typing in your name, select commas and then “1c:
Elements in a series”.
o Play the video.
o Complete the a practice sentence.

Select WritingReviser. Type in a sentence and submit just to explore the program.
3. Smarthinking (online – www.smarthinking.com) - Smarthinking is the online tutoring service
provided for Nash Community College students. Smarthinking can provide assistance with math,
writing, chemistry, physics, accounting, economics, anatomy and physiology, biology, Spanish,
nursing, and allied health.

username and password to begin. You will be asked to set up your own account with
a username and password. Do so now. (Suggestion, use your college email
