INTEGER MINI-PROJECT Due Friday 5/11 50 points
The Real World
My Life on the Number Line
Develop a timeline of your life.
Use a poster to create a number line graphing the most
important events of your past and projected life.
Starting at zero (representing 2012) move in years to
the left or right of zero, displaying your history and
future goals. (For example, for many of you your birth
would be at -12 and high school graduation at +6).
Must include at least 12 events: 6 past events and 6
future events with visuals for each (picture, drawing,
etc…) and a short description of each event.
Use color and creativity to make your timeline its best.
Create a poster or Lino It!* Project to show how
integers are used in the real world.
Must include examples with pictures in all of the
following areas:
 Sports
 Money
 Temperature
 Time
 Geography
 Find 1 more of your own…
For each area, be sure to show the following 3 things:
1. The role of zero
2. What positive numbers represent
3. What negative numbers represent

Choose from one of the
following four projects.

RULES MOBILE
Using graph paper, write 3 tweets (1 character per
square, 140 characters maximum) explaining your
understanding of key unit vocabulary terms.
Conduct research on this 7th grade topic to create a
mobile demonstrating the rules for adding,
subtracting, multiplying and dividing integers.
Must include all of the following words:











absolute value
opposites

infinity
ordered pair
positive
negative
inequality
quadrant
Must include the following examples:
Addition
The rules for adding integers.
An example of adding a positive and negative integer

Multiplication & Division
The rules for multiplying and dividing integers.
An example of multiplying integers with like signs.
An example dividing integers with different signs.
