Introductions and previous meetings action notes The last action notes were read through and confirmed. The outstanding actions for the meeting on the 21st January 2014 are: INVOLVE logo to be designed by youth cabinet – for meeting in January 4. Sexual Health tender – Joanne Sutton Public health is looking to update the sexual health services and provision. There was a consultation completed in October 2013 with teens and tots participants and an inspection report by the Young Inspectors project. They now wish to hold focus groups and complete further surveys to understand what young People want from the service. INVOLVE suggested that schools be the main target when completing focus groups and questionnaires. Other groups to meet with were also suggested these were: Teen Parents Group – Contact Carla McSherry, a session on Saturdays through canal boat Project and catch 22 sessions can also be accessed. 5. Participation Strategy The introduction and content of the participation strategy were discussed and adapted. A creative session on the vision/goals chapter will be held at the January meeting. Updated version to be sent out with December minutes 6. Action Plan and feedback form If someone wants to visit the INVOLVE group and ask for advice on participation, they will be sent the Value and aims document (terms of reference), if they do not already have it. They will also be asked to complete the INVOLVE task form before and after the meeting. This form was discussed and devised. MF to type up form and distribute. 7. Christmas Get to know you Activity completed, members told the group something about themselves and what they were looking forward to over the Christmas period. 8. AOB Des had sent apologies for this meeting but had asked for an update on the young men’s group, if it had been set up and what the dates were? The young men’s group will meet on the 23rd January and the young women’s group will meet on the 30 th January 2014.
