About Me

I am a Lighting Cameraman with over 15 years experience shooting on a range of
cameras. I've filmed for broadcast, corporate and charity work across the UK
and as far afield as China, Vietnam, the Philippines, the Maldives, and Europe,
Moscow, Istanbul and Sofia, Bulgaria for Perform in October, and November for the
WTA.

I am equally comfortable shooting politics and showbiz, corporate and hard news,
entertainment, sport, (WTA Tennis) , music and documentary. The skills gained
filming each feeds into the others.

I am just outside London, but so can be there, or on the M40 or M1, or M25
very quickly, with little notice. Everything is ready to go in an Estate car.

I believe good camera work is paramount, regardless of time and budget
constraints, and I can work creatively under pressure. I’m about to learn FCP
editing.
Availability: Generally good, and lots of short notice work. Used to night shifts,
foreign travel, early starts, and late finishes! I send out a weekly availability email, and
am happy to add you to it.
Equipment




Workflow..I own the Panasonic P2 HVX 3100 camcorder, (shoulder mounted)
shooting full HD at 50 or 100 mbs, Progressive or Interlaced, on three P2 cards.
These are transferred and verified (with the MSU-10) on to a hard drive quickly,
which can be left with you, and returned to me by post.
It is lighter than its rivals, making it perfect for hand held work. It is also very good
for green screen work. It also shoots on SD formats, such as DVC Pro 50, DVC Pro
HD, DVC Pro, and at 16:9, or 4:3.
kit comprises two Canon HD lenses, A J14 Wide Angle (4.3mm), and a longer
J17x7, Sony 740 OLED monitor, Polarizer, and SE Grad filters, filters, O’Connor
Matte box, Sachtler 18 tripod, a Lectrosonics 4 channel radio mic kit, plus a
selection of mics.
I also have a versatile lighting kit, including (two soft lights), a Kino Diva, a
Lowell 55, four Dedos, Dedo Ledzilla toplight, and an Arri 650. It all comes in
pelican cases, and I’ve travelled safely to China, Vietnam and the Philippines
with the kit.
I also use a couple of lighting gobos to help rescue dreary rooms / any location.
