Intent to Submit Form
Complete and submit this form to the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) as soon as you begin working on a proposal
for external funding. For complex proposals, especially those submitted electronically to the National Science
Foundation or the National Institutes of Health, at least one month’s notice is recommended. Early notification will
make it far more likely that OSP staff can:



Confirm that the grant program is a good fit for your funding needs and the college’s external funding strategy;
Assist you with all aspects of proposal development, including narrative, budget, and compliance issues; and
Ensure that key individuals are available to sign off on the proposal in the days just before the deadline
Return form to the Office Sponsored Programs no less than one month before the due date.

the Office of Sponsored Programs to build in time for the various approvals that will be required. The answers will also
help you identify potential stumbling blocks to submission, before you have invested a considerable amount of time on
the proposal.
