Animal Testing By Boba I looked at an essay on writefix.com about animal testing, and according to it, each day, thousands of people are cured from serious diseases and death by strong medical drugs, because of medicine. And without animal testing this wouldn’t be possible. So on this issue I stand for animal testing. Because I think it is fair enough for humans and animals. People accuse animal testing of being animal cruelty, and partly it is, but according to an essay on writefix.com so is making leather jackets a shoes and even eating meat, but people don’t seem to be worrying as much about those issues. And according to bussle.com, those tests don’t only benefit humans but animals too. How? Opponents also say that the results of the tests done on animals may not work on humans, and sometimes that is the case. But according to the same essay on writefix.com if we test those medicines and drugs on humans it would be much more cruel and it would take a lot longer. So until there is another system we must use animal testing. People also say that only 6% of those tests are for medical reasons. That is true but I think if even if it was 99% there’s still that 1% that cures humans from those very deadly diseases. I also found a story on animaltestingfacts.com about a young boy, Johnny Auquilino, was born without the left ventricle of his heart, the major pumping chamber. His life was saved by a series of new techniques first developed on animals. So that shows us that animal testing does affect our lives. According to the USDA, approximately: 61% of animals used suffer no pain 31% have pain relieved with anesthesia 6% experience pain, as suffering would settle the validity of the data. Much of this work is directed at an understanding of pain. Before, I was completely against animal testing. But after I did my research I was totally for it. So overall I think that animal testing SHOULD be done, but with most care and the least amount of suffering to the animals, and human testing SHOULDN’T be done at all. A: 10 A fully persuasive and well-supported argument! Great job! B: 9 Introduction, Body, and an impressive conclusion. The paragraphs flow logically into one another, but do not have transitions that show a larger cohesiveness/plan. Still, the ideas are very logically organized, moving from one point of view on a topic to a newly found perspective, almost in chronological order. C: 9 Avoid starting sentences with So, as it is informal. Take your last sentence for example. If you eliminate So you still have the transition “Overall”, which works perfectly. Word choice was very well done.
