Saturday Service 10/6/2012 "...18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven...” Matt 16:18-19 This is Jesus talking. The rock is the revelation that Jesus is the Christ. The keys are the authority and power of heaven. "...18 And I tell you, you are Peter [Greek, Petros--a large piece of rock], and on this rock [Greek, petra--a huge rock like Gibraltar] I will build My church, and the gates of Hades (the powers of the [m]infernal region) shall not overpower it [or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it]. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven..." Matt 16:18-19. Amplified Bill Johnson from The Supernatural Power of the Transformed Mind 'Has it ever occurred to you that we're on offense and not defense? The principalities and powers that set up dominions or "gates" all over the earth will not prevail against us. We are advancing and winning, and Jesus promises that in the end, no gate of hell will stand. Wow!' Yet it is amazing to me that in the presenting of The Lord, when His glory begins to manifest, that some will enter in, some cannot, and some will leave. We choose to focus on what God is doing, not on what man is it doing. Jesus gave us the keys to steward this moment...and this is really the key to ministry. Stewarding the moment...recognizing what the Father is doing and stewarding the moment. Discerning the spirits and listening to Him… Man can disappoint us, but Christ appoints us. He's given us a kingdom to release on earth. "...21 From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day. 22 Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!”23 But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men...” Matt 16:21-23 NKJV It's is a powerful thing, because it is on the heels of a great revelation...where Peter, by the unction of the Holy Spirit, said you' the Christ, the Son of the Living God. On the heels of that he spouts off in the natural because he was mindful of the things of man and not of God. It was right after that that Jesus said,"Get behind me Satan." Bill Johnson says something in The Supernatural Power of the Transformed Mind that really opened my eyes: "...So where precisely are the gates of hell? Where does the devil sit in power? You'll recall from our discussion of renewing the mind that I called the mind the gatekeeper of the kingdom of God. It is the place of access, transition, and power. It follows that the gates of access are set up in people's minds. He didn't say, " Peter you devil worshipper! He didn't say, "You're filled with all kinds of occult practices and deceits." He said, "Your mind is filled with the things of man." A most important thing to remember is that the devil is empowered by human agreement. That mental posture was a gate in which satan was released to bring his destruction. To say, "I'm only human!" Is to say, "I'm only satanic." Humanity without Christ at the center is satanic in nature. When you've been given the Spirit of God, you lose the privilege of claiming,"I'm only human." You are much more than that. In fact, Paul rebukes the church at Corinth for behaving like mere men..." Michael: How many are In Christ-having received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior? You are now supernatural beings. Bill Johnson from The Supernatural Power of the Transformed Mind continued: ‘The gate of hell is in our minds anytime we agree with the enemy. I empower Him anytime I agree with a man-centered perspective or natural wisdom that does not know God. I empower demonic forces and become a gate to release his power to kill, steal and destroy in my life. It's chilling, but the Bible indicates it's a fact.’ Michael: I read this and at first I said, "No, I'm sanctified. " Then the Holy Spirit said, "Oh?" Then I realized that when something I have said...that is released...has become the gate of Satan, and it affects the person you are talking to, you have released something into the atmosphere that is not of God. I have repented of that. And I am guarding my heart that I will not speak judgment or unforgiveness, these release the things of satan and we don't even know it. It's a serious matter that we need to consider. Hold your thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ before you say something. We can release heaven on earth, or we can release something that is not good for people. We can actually release the words of satan. Satan is bound from coming in, but he can use Christians to speak out what he wants said. When we receive the revelation of truth…the revelation of faith on a subject… it will guard ourselves from entering into that. I do not want to be a gateway for satan, and I repent of the times I have. Christians live in two dimensions simultaneously, so the one that you focus on most, you connect with most. So if we're focused on earthly things, we connect with that. If we're focused on The Lord Jesus Christ, and the unseen realm that is pregnant with possibilities...when we connect with that, then we can pull that which is in the unseen realm into the natural realm and affect people and places wherever we go. "...19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God (be able to operate in the spirit dimension)..." Galatians 5:19-21 NKJV Sorcery begins in the flesh, when you start dabbling in witchcraft…which is really exerting your will over someone else's. I would call that witchcraft, but in the church it is priest craft. Many times it comes from leadership. Pressing your will upon others. I would call that priest craft. Witchcraft or sorcery in the Greek is pharmakeia...pharmacy. Isn’t that interesting? Somebody starts dabbling in stuff they shouldn't be, and that starts opening up the door in the spirit realm that they don't want to participate in. Satan worshippers don't want to worship satan to start out with, they are looking for power and want to play with it. And it will consume anybody that has that attitude. This is where it begins for all of us: "...13 And He went up on the mountain and called to Him those He Himself wanted (Matt 22:14 says many are called but few have chosen-Wade Taylor said few have chosen to go on with God). And they came to Him (Jesus called and the made the effort). 14 Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him (should continually be with Him) that He might send them out to preach (the Good News), 15 and to have power(authority) to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons..." Mark 11:13-15 If you are a disciple of Jesus Christ you have been authorized to heal the sick and to cast out demons. "...17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover...” Mark 16:17-18 NKJV Some years ago this verse had dropped down into my heart, and I was speaking this verse to a young man, and the power of God hit him and threw him about 5 feet back. God was confirming His Word. While I was meditating on this, the Lord said to me, "You have broken through by My Word." His Word has changed the atmosphere here, it is His Word and His Presence, and we are hungry for His Presence. If we don't have His Presence, we don't want to move. That sounds radical, but it's just the way we are. We are madly, affectionately, ridiculously in love with The Lord Jesus Christ. Daddy, release Your Presence, Lord. Engulf us with Your Love. Melt every disease that's in this room...physically, emotionally and spiritually. We give you permission. Eva: I feel like The Lord is saying, “I am kindly affectionate towards you. Will you permit me to be kindly affectionate towards you. I am asking you tonight to remove the distance. I desire to become as close as possible. That we truly become one (echad). "...28 “But you are those who have continued with Me in My trials (Being proven by experience of evil-through conflict and adversity). 29 And I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as My Father bestowed one upon Me,30 that you may eat and drink (means you may continually eat and drink) at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” Luke 22:28-30 We feed Him with our worship- He feeds us with His divine substance. Eating and drinking at His table...in His kingdom. Glory to God. We worship You Father. We love You and adore You. Lord what an exchange You have made here. We feed You with our worship and our love affection...and You deluge us with Your Divine Substance. Wow! Thank You, Lord that You allow us to sit at Your table...in Your kingdom, equipping us for every good work. Hallelujah. Isn't He wonderful? Don't you love Him? Isn't He changing our lives? God loves us with an everlasting love. He is jealous for you. The Holy Spirit is jealous for your attention. He wants us to set our heart affection upon Him. The more intense the battle, the greater the anointing. We're coming into a season of conflict. So, the Lord put this message on my heart, and confirmed it to me earlier today...to prepare the body for the conflict...because things are escalating in this world. And we're just seeing the surface of it. Wherever Jesus went there was conflict. This is what happens when you carry His presence, when the kingdom of God comes into contact with the natural realm. It is a byproduct of carrying His presence. How many want to carry His presence? Yes, we're in a good place. "...20 Then the multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. 21 But when His own people heard about this, they went out to lay hold of Him, for they said, “He is out of His mind..." Mark 3:21 His own family members said He was out of His mind! We are in good company because some will say we are out of our minds, or just making this stuff up. But ask the woman who was delivered of 47 years of drug addiction and alcoholism. A Christian who had a secret and came and said she needed help. We prayed and she as delivered. A man came in and his shoulder was stiff- and his shoulder and back were healed. He had something on the bottom of his foot, too, and that is gone. A man brought Someone in who was being tormented by demons, and we prayed but weren't getting any breakthrough. Then we had him read Luke 10:1920. "...19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to (not free to disobey) you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven...” Luke 10:19-20 We can't be hurt. They have to obey you. But when you command it to go, they have to go. And he got hold of that. The man left with that armed in his heart and he took authority over it and it left at home. He was set free by the revelation of faith. He saw himself how God sees him. When we see the authority God has given us, we can take that and exert this authority...because He has given us the authority. Luke 10:19-20. "...7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give..." Matt: 10:7 You heal the sick, you cast out demons. In that command is an impartation. Of ourselves we cannot do this. Because without Him we can do nothing.
