ONE OF THE MANY: JACOB “DYING IS NOT A CRIME” KEVORKIAN
Dr. Jacob “Jack” Kevorkian (1928-2011) was an American, medical pathologist, a “physician-assisted”,
suicide activist, a painter, a composer, and an instrumentalist.
Dr. “Jack” is recognized as an international “authority” on euthanasia (from the Greek meaning “good
death”: “the practice of ending life in a manner which relieves pain and suffering” and/or “a deliberate
intervention undertaken with the express intention of ending a life, to relieve intractable suffering.”).
(Any individual helping another person to commit suicide [including a physician] is considered in most
states [in forty-seven states] to be an alleged [felony] criminal. The states that do allow “physicianassisted” suicide [for terminally ill patients] are: Oregon, Washington, and Montana.)
Dr. “Jack” died (from a thrombosis) on June 3, 2011 at the age of 83. According to his physicians, it was
a painless (relatively) death.
Dr. “Jack” was murdered by the “ignorance” and by the “stupidity” of the American “oligarchs” and by
the “indifference” of a number of American citizens.
Ex-Governor John Mathias Engler of Michigan [1991-1999], a fundamentalist, Roman Catholic, was their
hired assassin. And, this Republican, “Assassin” will “burn” in hell for his lack of compassion and for his
lack of humility and for the murdering of one of America’s heroes.
(Jacob was born on May 26, 1928 in Pontiac, Michigan. His father, Levon, had immigrated [from Turkey]
to the United States in 1912. He found work at an automobile foundry in Pontiac. His mother, Satenig,
fleeing from the Armenian Genocide of 1915 [the deliberate and systematic destruction of the Armenian
population of the Ottoman Empire by Turkish “authorities” during and after World War I], immigrated to
the United States [through Paris, France].
Levon and Satenig met in the Armenian community of the city Pontiac. They married, and they had
three children: Margaret, Jacob, and Flora.
Jacob earned the nickname, “Jack” [from the misreading of his birth certificate by an American school
teacher]. In 1952, Jacob graduated from the Medical School of the University of Michigan after earning
his medical degree. Later, he specialized in medical pathology.)
Dr. Kevorkian was never married.
Dr. Kevorkian advocated and practiced “physician-assisted” suicide. The criteria which he delineated
were: (1) the candidate must be terminally ill; (2) the candidate must be experiencing intractable
suffering; (3) the candidate must make a voluntary decision; (4) the candidate must give informed
consent; and (5) the candidate must have engaged counseling (after making the decision).
Dr. Kevorkian strictly adhered to these criteria. Once the individual qualified, then he/she would be
considered for the medical procedure of “assisted” suicide.
Dr. Kevorkian first pubic, assisted suicide was with the candidacy of Ms. Janet Adkins [in 1990]. Dr.
Kevorkian was charged with her murder by the “familiars” of the “Assassin” despite the fact that such a
practice was not illegal in Michigan.
In 1991, the “Assassin” had Dr. Kevorkian’s medical license revoked because “assisting patients to
commit suicide was ‘de facto’ unethical and immoral.”
Between 1990 and 1998, Dr. Kevorkian assisted in the deaths of 130 terminally ill individuals who
performed the “final act” through equipment which he designed (the “Thanatron” and the “Mercitron”
machines).
Between 1994 and 1997, Dr. Kevorkian was tried four times for assisting in suicides (A law was enacted
by the state legislature to specifically stop his activity.). He was acquitted three times. And, in his fourth
trial, it was declared a “mistrial.”
Based on a videotape of the “assisted suicide” of Thomas York (which was aired on 60 Minutes on
November 22, 1998), he was arrested and charged with “second-degree” murder and with the “delivery
of a controlled substance.” In this “assisted suicide”, he committed the “final act” by administrating a
lethal injection.
In his fifth trial, Dr. Kevorkian decided to represent himself. He was convicted of “second-degree”
murder after a two, day trial. Because of his “mental state” and because of his need to challenge the
court, the Judge and “Puppet” of the “Assassin”, the Honorable Jessica Cooper, sentenced him to 10 to
25 years in jail: Cooper’s judiciary performance undermined Dr. Kevorkian’s ability to present evidence
which included the testimony of a number of his witnesses. (Normally, a judge allows much more
latitude in murder cases-especially when a defendant is attempting to conduct his own defense.).
And, Cooper’s sentence was unusually harsh: the “Puppet’s” judicial decision was politically motivated
to please the “Assassin” as well as to please propagandized, public opinion.
Apparently, helping the dying is a criminal act in a state like Michigan.
Dr. Kevorkian’s need to sacrifice himself for his belief in helping others was a function of his
“depression” as well as a function of the “stress” of his extended “persecution” (by the state).
To re-emphasize, at the direction of his “Assassin”, the state of Michigan repeatedly violated Dr.
Kevorkian’s “civil rights” over a period of eight years. Dr. Kevorkian’s Fifth, Sixth, Eighth, and Ninth
Amendment freedoms were repeatedly violated by a dictatorial, state government. (See e-article “24”

The only thing that Dr. “Jack” was “guilty of” was having “compassion” for the terminally ill and for other
disenfranchised groups. You would think that the “oligarchs” would at least get his name right: “Jacob,
not “Jack.”
The “Assassin” and his follow “Turks” should “burn in hell.” After all, “hell” is for fundamentalists who
do not care for and who do not help those in need. In reality, they are “Dr. Death.”
Dr. “Jacob” is a true American hero, and he will be missed by the American many.
Relative to “physician-assisted” suicide, he is still ahead of his time. Relative to the repeated violation of
his “civil rights” by an “oligarchic” state government, where were you, Geoffrey Fieger, Esq. and Judge
Jackson and Mayer Morganroth, Esq. and the ACLU?
“Indifference” to the violation of anyone’s civil rights is “indifference” to the violation of everyone’s civil
rights: just ask the Armenian victims of the Genocide of 1915 (1.5 million Armenians killed by the
“oligarchs” and society is still counting).
