column and then write the name in the next column. If you
know the use, write that as well. DO NOT GLUE anything
down too securely yet (Or just use a pencil!) We will go
through all of the equipment as a class to ensure that
everything is named correctly

unknown amount
of liquid. Good for
titrations
Thermometer –
used for taking
temperatures
Utility Clamp – used
for clamping items to
the ring stand
Iron Ring – used to
hold items on the ring
stand
Ring Stand - used for
raising items off the table
Pipestem Triangle –
used to balance
items on the ring
stand
Wire Gauze - used to
hold items on the ring.
Specifically items being

Tongs – used for holding hot objects
Bunsen Burner –
used to heat things
with a flame
Crucible and

Used to heat
small amounts
Test Tube Holder – used
to hold test tubes
Evaporating Dish –
Used to evaporate liquids
over the bunsen burner

clean, good for test

Rubber Stoppers –
used to seal flasks,
some have holes in
them
Gas bottle –
used to hold
gasses
Distilled Water Bottle
– contains water that
does not have ions, so
it is PURE H2O
