Course Description:
This course provides information and guidance to the student for the transition from
physical therapist assistant student to PTA intern for licensure. This course will reinforce
skills and concepts for licensure. Students will participate in final preparations for
Federation of State Board of Physical Therapy national PTA examination. Students will
examine skills that promote successful employment.

ASSESSMENT OF LEARNER OUTCOMES
Assessment methods include, but may not be limited to: written tests, presentations, in class and homework
assignments, and observation of professional behavior and technical application.
Attendance Students who are absent more than 10%, in the term will, be placed on attendance probation.
Policy: If the student is on attendance probation from the last term, violation of this term's 10%
absence policy will result in withdrawal. The program considered excessive absence to be
twice the 10% percent absence of 20%. Per the College Catalog, the institution reserves the
right to sever its relationship with any student who incurs excessive absences.
Testing rules: All students must demonstrate minimum competency levels in order to progress through the
program. This means that students must earn an overall class score of 75% or greater in
order to advance to the next term or clinical experience. If the student does not earn 75% as
a final course grade, the student will be dismissed from the program.
