Loch Ness Monster I. Historical Background The Loch Ness Monster first became heard of in the sixth century by an author named Adomnan. He first, wrote a story on how a water-like beast attacked a man, while swimming in a river. After the attack the creature took the man under the water drowning him. When help arrived the only object they found was a corpse of the man. After hearing this, another man named Columba, sent his accomplices to then, swim across the river as well. When his accomplice did the same monster came out only becoming scared by a cross from Columba. The historical picture called Surgeon’s Photograph. Later in the 1900’s sighting of the monster formed. Back in 1933, a man and his wife, who came across a creature having a similar description to the monster. In 1943, another man named C.B Farrel, told that a sighting of a water monster that came out, only seeing the neck, distracted him. A famous photo took place in 1934. The photo was taken by a doctor named Wilson. He told people he looked at a loch and saw the monster, he then took five photos. One of them became famous as the “Surgeon’s Photograph.” In 1975 though, the photo came out as a fake. II. Characteristics To witnesses they say the Loch Ness Monster goes as long as 25-30 feet. The monster has sightings usually at Scotland in Lake Loch Ness. Witnesses say they have seen the creature go in and out of the water. People and scientist say the monster has a similar shape to a large dinosaur. When the witnesses saw the monster, they didn’t include anything about how the monster reacted. They only told how the monster just kept going as if the Loch Ness Monster did not notice. III. Description of Actual Scene In the early 1900’s a monster known as the Loch Ness Monster has become a famous mystery. Even today, people try to find the monster in the famous tourist attraction called Lake Loch Ness. Lake Loch Ness gives the monster many places to hide considering the many caves underneath. The lake also connects to The Great Glen. IV. Summary of Report The topic for this report became, about The Loch Ness Monster. Many people today wonder if the monster exists or not. The report gives facts and clarification showing The Loch Ness Monster has became more realistic. Many photos though, don’t really show the monster clearly.
