Loch Ness Monster
I.
Historical Background
The Loch Ness Monster first became heard of in the sixth century by an
author named Adomnan. He first, wrote a
story on how a water-like beast attacked a
man, while swimming in a river. After the
attack the creature took the man under the
water drowning him. When help arrived the
only object they found was a corpse of the
man. After hearing this, another man named
Columba, sent his accomplices to then, swim across the river as well. When his
accomplice did the same monster came out only becoming scared by a cross from
Columba.
The historical
picture called
Surgeon’s
Photograph.
Later in the 1900’s sighting of the
monster formed. Back in 1933, a man and his wife, who came
across a creature having a similar description to the monster. In
1943, another man named C.B Farrel, told that a sighting of a
water monster that came out, only seeing the neck, distracted
him. A famous photo took place in 1934. The photo was taken by a doctor named
Wilson. He told people he looked at a loch and saw the monster, he then took five
photos. One of them became famous as the “Surgeon’s Photograph.” In 1975
though, the photo came out as a fake.

Characteristics
To witnesses they say the Loch Ness Monster goes as long as 25-30 feet.
The monster has sightings usually at Scotland in Lake Loch Ness. Witnesses say
they have seen the creature go in and out of the water. People and scientist say the
monster has a similar shape to a large dinosaur. When the witnesses saw the
monster, they didn’t include anything about how the monster reacted. They only
told how the monster just kept going as if the Loch Ness Monster did not notice.
