Quality Enhancement Report

The following template should be used by the designated team to prepare the analysis of the
relevant Quality Enhancement Report (QER). The analysis should take the form of action plans
which indicate clearly where action must be taken by the faculty and where action must be taken
by ULTAC.
The initial version – to be labelled Version 1 00 – should be agreed by the team and then be used
as the basis for discussion with the faculty. The final version – Version 2 00 – should incorporate
any amendments arising from the meeting, including any correction of factual inaccuracy. The
final version of the analysis must be submitted to the University Learning, Teaching and
Assessment Committee in time for its May meeting.
The objectives of the analysis, as agreed by ULTAC, are:
 to assist the faculty in identifying strengths, examples of good practice or innovation, to
ensure dissemination within the faculty and across the University
 to ensure that areas for development have been identified and appropriate action identified
 to make appropriate recommendations to the faculty and/or ULTAC in the light of the
above.
In considering the QER, reference should be made to the previous year’s report and analysis,
and action taken by the faculty in response. Reference should also be made to any internal or
external reviews having taken place in that period which appear relevant.
