Immigration
In today’s day in age immigrants flood from all over the world to the U.S., but as with most
things, the good comes with the bad. The good part of immigration is that immigrants fill
positions, often times that no one else will take. Unfortunately, some immigrants bring drugs,
violence, and other illegal activity to that which already exists in the U.S. Despite this,
immigration is still needed.
Pros: -fills positions
-keeps population strong
-provides tax money
-improves life
Cons:-drugs
-gangs

Immigration
In today’s day in age immigrants flood from all over the world to the U.S., but as with
most things, the good comes with the bad. The good part of immigration is that immigrants fill
positions, often times that no one else will take. Unfortunately, some immigrants bring drugs,
violence, and other illegal activity to that which already exists in the U.S. Despite this,
immigration is still needed.
On the positive side of things, immigrants fill positions that America needs. Often
minimum wage can provide a better life than what they had in their homeland. Another aspect
that some more ignorant Americans fail to realize is that at some point or another most of their
families were immigrants as well. This shows that if immigration stops, America will begin
losing its population, thus decreasing tax money, which will equal less government funding,
which will cause America’s infrastructure to fall apart more than it already is.
From the immigrant’s perspective, America is the Promised Land. This can be taken
metaphorically, because American citizens are granted rights that many other countries don’t
give to anyone. It can also be taken literally however, for America is also known as the land of
opportunity, and the land of the free. Immigration to America is sometimes peoples last hope for
survival.

On the other hand immigration also affects America negatively. This of course is in
reference to illegal immigration. Although it is possible for illegal immigrants to pay taxes, they
can bring many other harmful elements. One large and very obvious problem is drugs,
particularly from Central and South American cartels. In addition to the drugs, cartels are
ruthless and very dangerous. Besides cartels, other dangerous crime organizations such as MS13, Zoe Pound, and many others have come from overseas into the U.S. These gangs are often
times more vicious and heartless than American gangs. The reasoning behind this is because the
countries the members of said groups come from are often war zones where the rule of survival
is kill or be killed, coming from an area like this pre-conditions people to violence, and the
grizzly sight of bodies. A good place to find information about these groups is Wikipedia.
In conclusion, immigration is a necessary part of a government. Although it must be
closely controlled, without it a first world country will fall apart, without a work force or enough
funding. It also makes life better for many people by providing basic human rights to those that
have lived under oppression for their whole life.
