Step One: Fill out the DevCo Online Application Registration Form
The first step in the process is to register all members of your development team in the DevCo system, so that they may be associated with the Developer of your project(s).
The registration form will be used by OHFA staff to register all organizations so they can be included in your application. Complete one form for each of the following organizations that are part of your development team
(only one form is needed for an organization that fills multiple roles or will be involved in more than one application submission):
Owner (Limited Partnership or LLC)
General Partner (all general partner entities must register)
Developer
Co-Developer (if applicable)
Development Consultant
HDAP Recipient (if applicable)
General Contractor
Management Company
Attorney
Accountant
Architect
Capital Needs Assessment Firm
Environmental Review Consultant
Federal Syndicator
Historic Federal Syndicator (if seeking Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit)
Historic State Syndicator (if seeking Ohio Historic Preservation Tax Credit)

Complete the following information on each form:
Organization Name
Address 1: Provide the street address in this field.
Address 2: Complete if necessary for a P.O. Box, suite number, etc.

Parent Organization: Enter the parent organization for each General Partner entity and for other organizations as necessary.
Organization Type: Select For Profit, Non-Profit or Government.
Organization Role(s): Check all roles that apply to this particular organization.
You must also enter at least one contact person for each organization. Multiple contacts may be entered if necessary. Complete the following information for each contact person:

Contact Role: Select the contact person’s role with this particular organization.
A list of organization and contact roles with their definitions is enclosed for your reference.
Please return all completed forms to the DevCo Online Application Mailbox at
DevCoApplication@ohiohome.org
no later than December 19, 2014. We will then enter all information and confirm that you are ready to enter your online application.
The attached information will be entered into DevCo by the assigned OHFA analyst. Once entered, you will receive an Organization Code back for each Organization you listed.
The Code will be needed to link each Organization to your application
This information is very important and needed for a completed application
Once you receive the organization codes; you can proceed to Section III- Affiliating
Organizations

Organization information will auto populate from DevCo.
If you Do Not have the Organization Code o Check the box: “ My organization is not registered ” o Manually add the Organization information below it

Email- your username defaults to your email address. You can change this to whatever you prefer.

A check mark will appear in the box next to the access you are selecting.
Online Application Access for Developers Onlyallows application information to be entered online.
Manage your Organizations Information and Users – allows management of organization information such as contact information, users, partnerships and affiliated organizations.
The following access types do not affect the application, but are part of the choices:
Annual Owner Certification and 8609 Access for Rental Housing - this will allow you to manage information about projects/ developments you are affiliated with; for example, the completion of
Annual Certifications and Tenant Income Certifications.
Claim Management Access- allows Awardee to submit claims online for payment. Currently not
supported in DevCo Online.
Manage Organization MOUs- this category is not supported in DevCo Online.

Use dropdown to pick Organization Role: Applicant

Step 7: Enter ALL roles your organization will have on the applying project
Repeat Step 6 for each Role
Every organization that is applying for tax credits needs to have an Applicant Role.
Every organization needs to have an Owner Role.
Everyone that registers for an organization-access needs to have a role within the organization.
Step 8: Select: Next
Step 9: Select: Submit
A message will appear stating you may have to wait 3 business days for approval.
An email will be sent to the same email account you log in with, denying or approving your request for access.
Note: all of the organization roles are shown on the Registration Summary

Step 3: From the list of Organziation Codes provided by OHFA enter one at a time under Organization Lookup
Step 4: Select: Find
Step 5: Select: Add
The organization will appear in the list once you choose Add .
All of the contacts affiliated with that organization will show as well.
Important: The option to remove the organization appears once you add it.
Step 6: Repeat for each Organization Code you recieved
Step 7: Make sure all of the organizations needed appear under the Affiliated Organization Header

New Organization is to add any organizations you were not able to affiliate.
The Affiliated Organizations dropdown is all of the organizations you have affiliated plus any that you added.

Step 3: Create your partnerships
From the Drop Down choose the affiliated organization.
Choose the Partnership role: Limited
Partner, General Partner, or General
Partner Principal.
Add in the Percent of ownership
Select: Add New Partnership
The partnership appears under Partnerships
These will now appear in the Owner Information Screen of the Online Application.

Person who executes documents on behalf of an Owner, Developer or General Partner.
Elected official who represents a district in the Ohio House of Representatives. Role on application only.
Elected official who represents a district in the Ohio Senate. Role on application only.
Person that acts on behalf of the investors in a Housing Tax Credit or Historic Tax Credit project.
