 Organized students at Central High School to participate in the Channel Six Challenge where students
compete against other area high schools in a trivia and subject area contest (mathematics, sciences, history,
English, and popular culture trivia).

Model teacher earned exceeds for the quality of classroom teaching, lesson plans and instructional
materials used in teaching diverse subjects (mathematics & student TAKS mathematics). Classroom used to
model and showcase to new teacher, parents, and district supervisors a “classroom learning environment that
promotes student interest and learning.” Developed innovative approaches that were held as the model standard
for meeting district goals in areas including technology integration across the curriculum, experiential learning,
literacy and diversity.
