7 May 14 1247 hrs, Fatal Motor Vehicle crash, 4600 Block Harlem Ave. Vehicle struck a pedal cyclist who was traveling Southbound 4600
Harlem Avenue while Vehicle was making a right hand turn from driveway onto Northbound Harlem Ave. Investigatin is still ongoing.
12 May 14 1630 hrs, DUI crash involving Norwood Park Fire Truck. The driver that struck the Fire Engine was charged with DUI.
Robbery / Theft Info
9 May – 1533 hrs – Robbery-Strong Arm/no weapon 4600 block Sayre. Victim approached from behind by M/W?20’s long brn hair wearing a
green back pack who was riding past her on a bicycle and that he grabbed out of her left hand a $250.00 Apple I phone and continued to ride
away Southbound on Sayre.
1-2 May 14 1700-0800 hrs, Theft from Motor Vehicle, 4503 N Newcastle. Catalytic Converter taken from a Chevy Cavalier
1-2 May 14 1930-0000 hrs, Theft from Motor Vehicle, 6621 W Norwood Ct. Catalytic converter taken from a Chevy Cavalier.
5 May 14 0900-0915 hrs, Theft from Building, 4761 N Nagle Buteras. Wallet taken from shopping cart, $15.00 in U.S.C, IL DL, Social Security
card and misc bank cards taken from victim.
12 May 14 2304-2307 hrs, Theft of Motor Vehicle, Alley of 6845 W Leland. Vehicle was left running with the keys in ignition and taken was a
2006 Volkswagon Touareg IL Plate # p492879

Identity Theft : On 4 April 2014, a unknown male subject made a purchase at Game Stop, 4715 N. Harlem Ave, using a cloned credit card.
Victim’s credit card number was comprimised at unkown location and the number was encoded onto a new cards that was used by the
offender. Further Investigation revealed the identity of the offender, who was take into custody on May 22, 2014 and subsequently charged
with Felony Identity Theft.
Offender: Anderson, Perrry M/B, 43 years old
Burglary and Criminal Damage to Property Info
2-3 May 19300-0000 hrs, Criminal damage to Vehicle, 4732 N Olcott. Windshield of a Ford Mustang was smashed with a brick by unkown
offenders.
3-4 May 14 2300-0229 hrs, Burglary to Motor Vehicle, 6900 Block Carl Cassatta. Taken from an unlocked Toyota Rav 4 was a carton of Salem
cigarettes valued at $80.00.
4 May 14 0325 hrs Recovered after traffic stop was a Stolen Vehicle. 6400 W Montrose. Three subjects in custody. Recovered was a Gold
Chrysler Mini Van.
4-5 May 14 1700-0700 hrs, Burglary to Motor Vehicle, 4400 block Natchez. Catalytic Converter taken from a Pontiac Sunfire.
7 May 14 1437 hrs, Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 4761 N Nagle Buteras Parking lot. Dodge Ram Pick Up truck.
9 May 14 0000-0030 hrs, Burglary to Motor Vehicle, 5045 N Odell Ave. Taken from unlocked Jeep Cherokee was $5.00 in U.S.C.
9-10 May 14 1200-0150 hrs, Residential Burglary – Forcible Entry. 6500 W Gunnison. Apartment door was pried open. It is unknown if any items
had been taken at this time.
13 May 14 0015-0027 hrs, Attempt Burglary to Residence – Forcible Entry, 6611 W Norwood Court, 3 M/W offenders bent over and near an
open window that was closed earlier, when startled by the home owner ran Eastbound through the parking lot.
13-14 May 14 1700-0900 hrs, Criminal Damage to Property, 4733 N Sayre. Three vehicles keyed while parked in driveway.
18-19 May 14 2330-0745 hers, Criminal Damage to Property, 4320 N New England, victims vehicle had two tires slashed while parked on the
street at above location.

Home repair scams/ Ruse burglaries. Reminder: Do not allow anyone into your residence that you do not know and didn’t call for service.
Scam artists knock on your door offering to repair something in or around your home for a very low price. They ask you to pay upfront and you
will never see them again or if you allow them inside your residence, they will distract you and steal your valuables.
All Village Employees/PublicWworks have IDs on them at all times. Ask for ID and call 911 for verification.
