PLEASE READ THIS PAGE BEFORE NOMINATING A MEMBER OF STAFF FOR AN AWARD
Nominations must be made:
EITHER
by three people who can be other staff members, students and/or former students who have been
taught by the nominee. Self-nominations will not be accepted. Each nomination must be made on
an official form and must be accompanied by at least a half page from each nominator outlining the
reasons for making the nomination. One form only will be accepted from any group of nominators
and one of the group’s members will need to take responsibility for obtaining the signatures and
testimonials from the others and the signature of the nominee before submission of the nomination;
OR
by a relevant School Committee. Nominations must be made on an official form containing the
signatures of at least three committee members, the signature of the nominee and a statement
outlining the reasons for making the nomination.
NOTE:

Self-nominations will not be accepted.

A member of staff or a team who has been a recipient of a teaching award is not eligible for renomination for four years.

The member/s of staff must have at least three years service at UNSW.

In the case of a team nomination, the following eligibility rules will apply:
- a team award is open to groups (comprising two or more members) with complementary
skills, teaching collaboratively into a particular course or set of courses for at least two
sessions
- general staff may be members of the team, but the course must have been led by academic
staff

The nominated member/s of staff must be given sufficient time to prepare the supporting
documentation and submit it by Monday 21 September 2015.
NO LATE APPLICATIONS CAN BE ACCEPTED.
Faculty Committees will consider all applications received at meetings to be held in
October/November. The University’s Central Committee will meet at the end of November or early
December.
