The grade requirements are no less than 6 SCQF level 9 courses to be passed at grade C or above at first attempt, including all mandatory and optional courses. Accreditation The professional accountancy bodies set examinations leading to a professional qualification. Students will be granted exemptions from certain of these examinations if they have taken programmes approved by the relevant body for their technical content and quality. BBA (Accountancy) students may be eligible for exemptions from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Association of International Accountants (AIA). The exemptions that are available are earned during the study of ‘accredited’ courses in Stages 1, 2 and 3. Exemptions are at the discretion of the professional body and are subject to change.
