The Baby-Sitters Club
This series is about a group of middle school girls
living in a fictional town called Stoneybrook,
Connecticut. They run a business called the
Baby-Sitters Club. This is a club that helps
parents find good baby-sitters for their kids.
These girls have their club meetings on Monday,
Wednesday, and Friday from 5:30 P.M to 6:00
P.M. The club runs financially on dues and
fundraisers, and the baby-sitters write diaries of
their jobs to help each other.
Here Today
This book is about Ellie an 11 year old girl whose
mother has been careless and whose siblings are
argumentative. She gets bullied and treated like
she didn't exist along with her best friend, Holly.
Her life is turned upside down when her mother
decides to go into show business. Her mother
has asked Ellie to call her Doris. As her life
progresses, Ellie discovers she has more power
than she thinks and can change her life no
matter what the situation.
Belle Teal
10 year old Belle Teal Harper lives with her mother
and grandmother on the wrong side of the
tracks, in a small rural city in the 1960’s. They
don’t have much, but they have each other, and
Belle Teal feels that she is rich with love and
loyalty to her family and her best friends, Clarice
and Little Boss.
A Corner of the Universe
Hattie Owen enjoys the familiarity of her small
town life, but during the summer she turns 12,
her world is turned upside down with the arrival
of an uncle no one has ever spoken about. Now
that Hattie's uncle's "school" an institution for
the mentally disabled is closing, Hattie's family
must deal with a childlike young man whose
existence they've denied for years.
On Christmas Eve
Eight-year-old Tess is convinced this is the year she will
finally meet Santa, and experience "the Christmas
magic." She also wishes with all her heart that her best
friend's ill father will recover. Tess' faith in the season
results in a Christmas Eve so wondrous, so sparkling,
readers won't be able to help but feel transformed. Like
trimming the tree and "It's a Wonderful Life"; baking
cookies and "White Christmas," On Christmas Eve is
sure to bring new holiday magic to readers' lives.
Main Street
Flora and Ruby do not want to move to Camden Falls. But
they don't really have a choice -- their parents are dead
and their grandmother, Min, is taking them in. It's
strange to be in a new place. But luckily, it's a very
welcoming place. Min runs a sewing store, Needle &
Thread, at the heart of Main Street in Camden Falls.
There, Flora and Ruby become friends with Olivia, who
likes to organize things, and Nikki, who lives on the
wrong side of the tracks. Even if Flora and Ruby never
expected it to, Camden Falls becomes their home . . .
and its stories become a part of their stories.
Snail Mail No More
Best friends Elizabeth and Tara Starr are still
totally different. Tara Starr accessorizes with
glitter and sequins, and loves the spotlight.
Elizabeth loves reading and writing poetry, and
hates to be the center of attention. Though the
two live far from each other, they continue to
correspond regularly now, via E-mail. But
distance and life events out of their control put
the girls' friendship to the test. An unforgettable
testament to the power of friendship.
The Doll People
This book is about a 100 year old china doll and
her family who have been passed down from
generation to generation in the same house with
the same family. She has had a simple life doing
what “regular live dolls do”. Her aunt has been
missing for 40 years and has never returned to
their old fashioned doll house. She meets other
living dolls and her and her new best friend,
Tiffany Funcraft, set out on an adventure to find
Auntie Sarah.
The Meanest Doll in the World
Annabelle Doll and Tiffany
Funcraft go on an adventure
with Auntie Sarah up to the
attic to search for spiders.
They stayed up in the attic to
long that they got down as
soon as Kate was awake so
Auntie Sarah hid in the
backpack. They went to
school and went adventuring
through the hallways. They
ended up getting in the other
back pack than Kate's. They
went home with somebody
else and ended up having an
adventure to try to defeat
Mean Mimi and save doll
kind.
The Runaway Dolls
Best friends Annabelle and Tiffany risk placing all
of doll kind in danger when they run away while
trying to prevent Tilly from being sent back to
London before they can determine if she is
Annabelle’s long-lost baby sister.
