different facts which are it occurs in gross as geodes of
crystals radiating ,they can also have smoky quartz clouds

The uses of Angelite is in the manufacturing of some cement (a source of
sulfate for sulfuric acid.)
1. This loss of water produces a reduction in volume of the rock layer and
can cause the formation of caverns as the rocks shrinks.
2. Lilac blue anhydrate is sometimes called Angelite for it’s Angelite color.
3. Fine specimens of Anhydrite have been found in Mexico and Peru that
show good crystal.

why I picked it. Certain people
believe it has healing properties.
Normally it is pictured as dark red
like the picture on the right, but it
comes in every color besides blue.
The most used use for garnet it to
make jewelry for example: rings,
earrings, and pendants. The word
“garnet” comes from the Latin word
granatum which means
pomegranate seed. Its not very hard
to tell why! The streak is red. The
luster is nonmetallic. The specific

My mineral is Woodhouseite. I know it sounds funny but just read this and
you will see that it is very interesting!!!!!!
 Color = burgundy, red, orange, gold, yellow, and white (sometimes it’s





clear but that is very rare)
Hardness = 4.5
Luster = vitreous (glassy) or pearly
Specific gravity/density = 3.012g/cm³
Uses = only a specimen which means only used in museums or galleries
Some interesting facts are:
1. It is so rare that it is only found in 1 location and that is White
Mountain Peak in Mono County, California.
2. The faces of the mineral woodhouseite can be straight or curved.
3. It is made up of many different minerals.









My minerals name is zoisite. My mineral has many
different colors, they are green, blue to violet, pink
to reddish, also grey , white, or brown. The
hardness is 6-7. The streak is white. My mineral’s
luster is vitreous (the same as glass). Zoisite’s
specific gravity is approximately 3.3. You can use
it in gemstones. It has some interesting facts like:
zoisite is a ruby. It was first discovered in 1954,
and it is predominately green .
