CHUKCHI PEOPLE These people live in the Arctic Circle. They herd reindeer around. They rely primarily on reindeer meat. The reindeer eat lichen under the snow so when the reindeer run out of food the Chukchi people must move their home to another location. POPULATING THE AMERICAS People then traveled and populated from North America all the way down to the south peak of South America. WHY DO WE LOOK DIFFERENT BUT STILL MUCH ALIKE? We are all African under the skin. People look different because of isolation and adaptations to different environments. One of the reasons that Spencer Wells is doing this research is to show that we are all connected.
