Musical (HS) - Audition Requirements The auditions will continue as scheduled. Please review the changes in the requirements. The new musical selection will posted next week in the E-news. High School Musical Auditions Performance dates for this year’s musical are March 19–21, 2015. Auditions will be held in the Harbor Auditorium on Thursday, November 13 (3:30–6:00 p.m.), Friday, November 14 (3:30–5:30 p.m.), and Saturday, November 15 (10:00 a.m. – noon) by appointment only. Please email Mrs. Thomas at cthomas@covenantday.org if you need to make an appointment for a Saturday audition. Sign-up sheets are available in the high school. Please prepare 16 bar cuts of two songs. One song must be a selection from any musical (It can be from The Addams Family if you have already prepared that). The other song should be a selection of your choosing that highlights the best qualities of your voice. You can access the music using this link. A live accompanist will be provided at the audition for your convenience. A monologue is not required. You will do cold readings from the script. It is strongly advised that you have an idea of what type character you think you would portray will. This will not affect casting decisions but it will help you be more prepared for your audition.
